Tutorial: Smokey Cats eye

This look I did when I was doing a short course at Artist@Play. I had to create a dramatic look and thats what I came up with. My cousin was my model and even though she is too young to suit this look, she has the perfect eyes for this look.


Base:

• MAC fix+
• MAC prep+prime
• MAC face and body foundation C4
• MAC select moisture concealer NW25
• Makeup Forever Micro HD powder
• MAC mineralize skinfinish natural powder Medium Dark
• MAC mineralize skinfinish  Soft and Gentle

Eyes:

• MAC paintpot Barestudy
• MAC pigment Golden Lemon
• MAC eyeshadow Brule
• MAC eyeshadow Forgery
• MAC eyeshadow Carbon
• MAC eyeshadow Smut
• MAC eyekohl Smolder
• MAC fluidline Blacktrac
• MAC zoomlash Zoomblack

Lip:

• MAC lipstick Shygirl
• MAC plushglass Nice Buzz

Steps:

1. Moisturise your face.
Spray MAC fix+ all over your face and wait til all of it is absorbed.
2. Apply MAC prep+prime.
3. Using a MAC 187 duo fibre brush apply the MAC face and body foundation.
4. Apply the MAC paintpot over your eyelid and the inner corners on your eyes.
5. Using a MAC 239 eye shader brush, apply MAC eyeshadow Forgery over your eyelid.
6. Using the same brush, apply the MAC eyeshadow Brule on the inner corners of your eyes and using your finger to blend it out.
7. Using a MAC 239 brush, apply the MAC eyeshadow Smut on the outer corners of your eyes and cease.
8. Using a MAC 217 brush, apply the MAC pigment above the inner eyelid and blending it in.
9. Using a MAC 219 pencil brush, darken the outer corners on your eyes with the MAC eyeshadow Carbon on and blending it out creating the cats eye as seen in the picture above.
10. Using a MAC 224 blending brush to blend your eyeshadow to soften the edges.
11. Using the MAC fluidline draw a thick line on the upper lashline and dragging it out giving the cat eye effect.
12. Before applying eyeliner on the lower lashline, remove any mess.
13. Apply the MAC concealer under your eyes with your finger.
14. Using the MAC 134 powder brush, Apply the Makeup Forever powder all over your face to set your concealer and foundation.
15. Using a powder sponge, Apply the MAC mineralize natural skinfinish powder all over the face.
16. Hi-light your face using the MAC mineralize skinfinish powder, apply on your cheek bones and eyebrow bone.
17. Apply a thick line with the MAC eyekohl on the lower lashline, Using the MAC 217 to blend it out.
18. Curl your lashes with a Lash Curler and Apply the MAC mascara on the Upper and Lower lashes.
19. Finish the look with MAC lipstick and plush
