A simple tutorial for a look you can do when going on a date. This look can be used as a day or night look. In the picture above is a before and after picture of my cousin which I used as my model to do this tutorial. I used liquid foundation and very little concealer to give her a natural flawless face, with her eyes I applied shimmer and medium colour to contour her eyes. Finish off the look with mascara, blush and lipstick.
Base:
- Make up base - Skinfood Lettuce & Cucumber Matte Finish gel
- Foundation - Kryolan Liquid Foundation (2 OB)
- Corrector - Makeup Forever Camouflage cream palette(Green – No. 17)
- Concealer - Cinema Secret Corrector palette (#607-19)
- Translucent Powder - Makeup Forever Micro Hd Powder
- Blush - Nars blush (Orgasm)
Eyes:
- Eye shadow base - MAC Paintpot (Painterly)
- Eye shadow - Coastal Scents 28 piece shadow neutral palette
- Eyeliner - Bobbi Brown Long wear gel eyeliner (Black Ink)
- Mascara - Lancome Virtuose (Black)
Lips:
- Lipstick - MAC Viva Glam lipstick (Lady Gaga)
- Lip gloss - Dior Addict Ultra Gloss (Reflect - 007)
Steps:
- Cleanse, tone and moisturize the skin to prep it for make up application.
- Apply make up base all over the face.
- Using a concealer brush, apply the green concealer on areas that are red. This will help cover the redness.
- With a duo fiber brush, apply the liquid foundation all over the face. You should stripply the foundation on until you see no foundation is on the brush and then softly blend the foundation in.
- Now with a concealer brush to apply concealer around areas that still need more coverage.
- Then apply the translucent powder all over the face with a large powder brush. This will help set your foundation.
- Using a blending brush that’s quite dense and apply eye-shadow base (MAC Paintpot in Painterly) all over the eyelid and on the lower lash line. The eye-shadow base helps hold the eye shadow and it will make it crease resistant, which makes it easier to blend.
- Using a fluffy blending brush, apply the light eye-shadow colour on the eyelid to the brow bone and the inner corners of the eyes. This helps brighten Evie’s eyes and giving it a shimmery colour.
- Using a pencil brush, apply the medium eye-shadow colour on the cease and with a fluffy blending brush blending it in.
- Using a blending brush, define the cease with the dark eye shadow colour and blending it in with the fluffy blending brush.
- Using an eyeliner pencil (black), draw on the upper lash line and extend the line out to give that cat eye look. Then lightly apply eyeliner on the lower lash line, starting from the middle and draw towards the out corner of the eye. With a pencil brush, lightly soften the eyeliner on the upper and lower lash line.
- Using an eyelash curler, curl the client’s lashes and apply mascara (black) on the upper and lower lashes.
- Using a contour brush, apply blush on the lower part of the cheekbones to define them.
- Then with a blush brush apply a lighter blush colour on the apples of the cheeks.
- With a lip brush, apply lipstick (light pink) on the lips. Then apply a clear lip-gloss over the lipstick.
